This year for Family Day weekend, we rented a lovely little cottage in Sandbanks Provincial Park, right along the lake. I love how perfectly still winter can be far away from the busy city. Everyday the world feels fresh and untouched; at peace. Even though we were lacking snow, we still went for some long snowshoe treks, and the mild weather also allowed for some gorgeous runs along the crystallized lake. From the alien dune and ice landscapes to the twinkling, frozen lake; the glowing skies and the bare, crawling tree branches; I loved what I captured on this trip.

Sounds like a great trip! Love the photos!
Love the photos. Tamiko & I camped there with friends before the kids were born. I singed off my eyebrows with a coleman stove. Your visit looks much more pleasant.
Thanks! First trip with my new Nikon D7000!
